Auburn transfer Bo Nix has been the talk of the Oregon Ducks since it was announced in December that he would be leaving the Auburn Tigers in favor of Oregon. The news shocked many college football fans, especially since this will be his last season of college football.

Nix is originally from Pinson, Alabama and attended Pinson Valley High school. The quarterback had an amazing high school career which left him highly sought after during draft season. He left high school with two state titles and his pick of division one schools to play for. He got offers from Notre Dame, LSU, and many more. Nix signed with Auburn which was not surprising to a lot of people since that is where his dad Patrick Nix played college football. When it came time for the 2019 season to begin Nix was already the starting quarterback for Auburn in the first game of the season. They won the game 27-21 to the Ducks. He also won the SEC’s freshman of the year award. Nix went on to play two more great seasons with Auburn. Nix had some ups and downs with Auburn including an injury that took him out of the remaining 2021 season. Despite this he was an important part of the Auburn football team, and he ended his time with Auburn having started in 34 games and had 39 touchdowns.

Nix announced his transfer in mid-December and fans were shocked. Nix left Auburn in search of the chance to compete for a national championship and in his eyes, Oregon was the right place to go. The Ducks are excited for Nix and even got a chance to see how he played with the team on April 23rd at the spring game where not only did Nix have his debut but so did new head coach Dan Lanning. With football camp in full swing and the Georgia game two weeks away, Duck fans are eager to see how the team will do with Nix. While the Ducks still haven’t named the starting quarterback it is expected to be Nix. With this being Nix’s senior season college football fans are excited to see how he will fit into the team that he defeated during his first game with Auburn. With the start of the 2022 football season nearing, the Ducks are eager for kickoff. With some new Ducks, the team should be in for a great season.
