The Oregon Ducks (4-1) won their fourth game of the season Saturday against Stanford (1-3) by a score of 45-27.

The Ducks played their fifth game of the season on Saturday at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, OR. This was the first game for many Oregon students, so the stadium was packed and full of excited energy. This game has been highly anticipated all season since the Ducks lost to Stanford last year. However, this time the Ducks didn’t come to mess around. They started the game strong scoring a touchdown and a field goal in the first quarter of the game. After a strong start, Stanford tried to fight back however, the Ducks would not back down. Both touchdowns happened in the last five minutes of the second quarter. After Bo Nix scored the first touchdown, the team returned and went for another. Stanford started with the ball, but the team quickly got the ball back and scored again to make the score 31-3. As the second half of the game resumed Stanford fought hard to get past the Ducks’ defense and while this was challenging, they were able to push through and score two touchdowns in the third quarter. This however did not scare the Ducks they continued to make excellent plays and continue to score a couple more times during the fourth quarter. After an intense but exciting game, the Ducks ultimately won with a final score of 45-27.

After an exciting comeback for the Ducks after last year’s Stanford game fans and students cannot wait to see how the rest of the season will go. The Ducks have had a great season so far and didn’t let their week one loss against the Georgia Bulldogs shake their confidence. The Ducks are almost halfway through the regular season and fans are excited to see how the Ducks do. The Ducks hit the road for their next game Saturday, Oct. 8 against the Arizona Wildcats with kickoff set for 6 p.m. in Tucson, AZ.
